Aldi Lacura Rose Facial Oil Review

Aldi Lacura Rose Facial Oil Review

It's only in the last couple of years that I've really started making facial oils a staple in my evening skincare routine. Until most recently, Rosehip oil was my product of choice, having tried a few different options - some of which just seemed to disappear on my skin and others looked like an oil slick had happened on my face! However, when my bottle of rosehip oil was coming to an end and I noticed this in the upcoming Aldi Special Buys, I decided to pick up a bottle and give it a go. Before I dive into the review, just a little disclaimer. I know that skincare is an incredibly personal choice, and what suits one person may not necessarily suit another - I have definitely found this before with my own skin after following another's recommendations. However, if you would still like to hear more about this product, keep on reading!
Aldi Lacura Rose Facial Oil Review

This is an intensely moisturising oil, containing rose and pomegranate extracts. Aldi describe it as a "luxurious blend of botanical oils and Vitamin E that help to nourish, smooth and moisturise skin". It is also vegan and vegetarian friendly as well as being cruelty-free. Aldi claim that it is suitable for sensitive skin although just bear in mind if you are extremely sensitive that it does have a fragrance - which I love, but others may not! It comes in a glass bottle with 25ml of product and a white and rose gold pipette applicator. It is priced at €4.99 which is definitely on the much lower end of skincare prices.

The packaging advises to use this morning and evening after cleansing, after toner and before moisturiser. You can also add a couple of drops to your moisturising cream or lotion if you prefer. I have also heard of a brilliant tip from fellow blogger Ailish from Ailish Beauty Addict which is to mix this in with your foundation to give a dewier finish. I haven't tried this tip yet but I'm definitely going to give it a go soon.

How I've been using this facial oil is to apply 2-3 drops after my hot cloth cleanser and either Ultrapure Labs Rosewater as toner or Aldi's Lacura Healthy Glow toner as I alternate between the two each evening. I will then go in with my night cream afterwards - currently the La Roche Posay Toleraine night cream.

I have to say, I absolutely love this product. It smells absolutely amazing and really feels like you are pampering your skin despite the budget price. It is incredibly nourishing in my opinion and really gives the skin an extra boost of hydration which it needs especially as we enter the cooler months. Even my other half has noticed that my skin is glowing - in his words, not mine - after using this - and he wouldn't be the most observant normally! I do have dry skin which is sometimes prone to sensitivity and I've found that this is moisturising enough for me without causing any sensitivities.

At the time of writing this post, the Lacura Rose Facial Oil is currently back in Aldi stores as part of another Special Buy week, and I am definitely going to stock up on another bottle or two, in the hope that this will keep me going until they restock it again because I absolutely want to keep this as a regular in my skincare routine. If you're looking for skincare that does a great job without putting a dent in your budget then this is definitely worth a try in my opinion.

If you are curious to try it then I'm sure it won't be there for much longer so do keep your eyes peeled in your local store.

If you have tried this already, I'd love to hear what you thought? I'd also be interested to know how you change up your skincare routine for the colder weather so please feel welcome to share in the comments!

Bye for now,
