An Introduction to Nadur Skincare Shea Butter Hand Creams

Nadur Skincare Aldi hand creams

In my handbag, on my desk, on my bedside table, beside the kitchen sink. I always have a tube of hand cream nearby or on my person at any given time. The changeable weather, central heating and harsh soaps mean I go through tons of the stuff.  So when I received a surprise package in the post last week from Nadur Skincare, I knew that these would be getting a thorough test straight away.

These are the Shea Butter Hand Creams from Irish skincare brand Nadur which is available exclusively at Aldi. The hand creams come in two fragrances - Jasmine & Vanilla and Chamomile & Vanilla.

The packaging on these is very similar to some quite luxurious hand creams with the silver tube and the black lid that would remind you of an old-fashioned watercolour paint tube. They both contain 50g of product which is quite a generous size yet not quite as big as your standard tube of Nivea for example which would be 75ml.

The key ingredient in these is, quite obviously you would probably say, Shea Butter. Shea Butter is made from the nut of the African Shea tree and is widely used in moisturisers and lotions due to its ability to retain moisture.

Fragrance wise, the blue one, Jasmine & Vanilla, is definitely more floral than vanilla-scented, and reminds me of one of those traditional creams from English brands such as Yardley but not in a bad way. If you are not into floral scents then you may find this one a little too much but I will enjoy using it.

However, I definitely prefer the pink one - Chamomile & Vanilla - as I absolutely love the smell of vanilla. This one has that scent without being overpowering. The creams are quite a thick texture, which you would expect from a product containing Shea Butter, but I didn't find them at all greasy once absorbed.

After use, my skin was left feeling soft, moisturised and delicately fragranced without any greasy feeling. These are perfect if, like me, your hands are subjected to lots of abuse on a daily basis - from dish washing to hand washing to toddler bathing - and if you need an affordable option that works. And they are super affordable - at only €2.49 each. They are available now exclusively in Aldi stores nationwide and definitely worth popping into the trolley next time you're doing the weekly shop!
