In case you haven't heard the sciencey-bit, micellar waters contain molecules called micelles, which act like magnets to lift makeup and dirt away from the skin without having to be rubbed or rinsed off.
The directions on the bottle are pretty standard - apply on a cotton pad and gently wipe over face to remove makeup and cleanse the skin. It has a very slight rose scent but not even as strong as my rosewater toner. I've been using this as a first step in my cleansing routine to take off makeup and even waterproof eye makeup before going in with a hot cloth or wash-off cleanser.
Some of the micellar waters I've tried in the past have either been too harsh on the skin or not tough enough to remove eye makeup, but this one works perfectly and doesn't cause any stinging in the eye area or any sensitivity on the skin. If I had to compare it to another micellar water that I've used, I would say it is most similar to the Garnier Micellar Water with the pink lid. Both are gentle on the skin but tough enough to take off your makeup.
And the best bit? This decent sized bottle from Penneys will only set you back €2.50! Well worth sticking in the basket next time you go in for tights and come out with two brown bags full of stuff :)
P.S..the only reason there are bubbles in the bottle as photographed is because I dropped it before taking the photos and it took ages to settle again but it's not normally bubbly or foamy!
