Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

If this is your first time visiting my blog, then I'll just explain what the Friday Steal posts are all about. Sometimes your favourite beauty products don't have to cost the earth, and you might find that you fall in love with something that you found in your local drugstore/pharmacy or even supermarket in some cases. We all love a bargain (or at least I know a lot of us do!) so Friday's posts are a quick run-down of the latest beauty bargains that I've found and that I would like to share with you in case it might be up your street too!
Today's little gem is a budget concealer which is raved about by many but that I can now say lives up to its claims. The Lasting Perfection Concealer is from the high street brand, Collection, which is exclusively available in Boots stores and online at Boots also. It claims to conceal flaws, imperfections and blemishes for up to 16 hours and the formula is water and transfer-resistant.

The concealer comes in four shades - Fair, Cool Medium, Warm Medium and Dark. The shade I have is Fair - due to my natural pasty-ness - and it is the perfect shade for me for hiding the under eye shadows and brightening up that area but also for hiding any blemishes. The coverage is that good that I've even been known to dab it all over my face and give a quick swipe with a foundation brush when I'm running late in the mornings. Even then it's not cakey and doesn't smudge easily. In fact, as I'm writing this, I had forgotten to wipe off the swatch from my hand that I photographed earlier and I can't rub it off with my finger so that is a really good indication of its staying power!

I can't recommend this concealer highly enough. I know the shade selection is very limited but if you do manage to find one that suits your skin tone either for highlighting or concealing blemishes etc, definitely give it a try. I'm on my second tube of this and I very rarely repurchase a makeup item unless I am totally in love with it. And you can also see how well used this one is by the fact that the writing is completely gone off the outside!  It's not the prettiest packaging in the world but it is fit for the purpose and for the teeny sum of €5.79, who can complain?

Are there any other fans of this out there? Or did you feel the exact opposite about it? Do let me know in the comments :)

Bye for now.

  1. I haven't tried this yet, but next time I am in Boots I am definitely going to pick one up xx
