Glossybox UK June 2016 Review

Glossybox UK June 2016 Contents
I'm a bit later this month with my June beauty subscription box reviews but hopefully you won't hold that against me :) Although the fab weather we were having has disappeared, apparently somewhere in the world, it is still summertime! So Glossybox this month are bringing us five of the summer's most exciting products. Do I agree? Let's see...

Spa To You Konjac Sponge.

Spa to You Natural Konjac Sponge

These unusual-looking sponges are apparently all the rage in cleansing in Japan and Korea. Konjac sponges are made of a natural substance derived from an Asian root vegetable and they have an unusual rubbery texture. According to Glossybox, this is more gentle than a scrub but has skin-buffing abilities and will leave skin clean and unbelievably soft. This reminds me of something and I don't quite know what, but I am interested to give it a try.

Emite Makeup Lip and Cheek Tint.

Emite Makeup Lip and Cheek Tint

Swedish brand Emite has cropped up before in previous Glossyboxes - with eyeshadows and a lip brush if I remember correctly. This is a 2 in 1 stain/tint for lips and cheeks and I could only find the one shade on their website so perhaps this is the only colour it comes in. On first impressions, it looks quite dark in the tube but actually I was pleasantly surprised as it blends to quite a soft pink. It is similar to the Benefit Benetint Lip and Cheek stain actually so I will give it a go maybe on the lips first before risking the cheeks!

Starskin Eye Catcher Eye Masks.

Starskin Eye Catcher Second Skin Eye Masks

I'm already a big fan of the Starskin sheet face masks after a past Glossybox so I'm looking forward to trying these out. These claim promise to reduce puffiness and dark circles to leave you looking bright-eyed and rejeuvenated. Oh get on my face quickly! This is right up my street and in fact I may try them out tonight. There were two sachets in the box and I'm presuming that each sachet has two mask patches, one for each undereye.

Ladival Sun Protection Spray SPF15.

Ladival Sun Protection Spray SPF15

I've never heard of this sun protection brand but Glossybox say that this cream offers protection against 4 types of UV rays and is fragrance free so that it will suit sensitive skin and those prone to eczema. At the moment the sun has disappeared here but we are hoping to go on a family holiday later in the summer so this will come in useful then.

De Bruyere After Sun Lotion Monoi.

De Bruyere After Sun Lotion Monoi

This after sun lotion contains Monoi - gardenia petals soaked in coconut oil - and is said to hydrate and calm the skin after sun exposure. If I was going on a week-long holiday I would need more than this little tube but it would be handy if you were going away for the weekend and would make a nice travel size for a short break. It also smells gorgeous - so I might actually end up using it as an ordinary body lotion instead :).

Oh and there was a bonus sachet of Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructorr Deep Conditioner too. I have tons of conditioners and treatments in my stash from previous beauty boxes but again this would be handy for travelling too.

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor Deep Conditioner

So that's everything in this month's Glossybox. Did you receive one too and were any of your contents different? I'm always curious to hear about the other variations :) Feel free to comment and let us know!
