Favourite nude lipsticks

Hello all,

Hope you're well and refreshed after a lovely weekend! :) Today I'm back to talk about my favourite nude lipsticks! I tend to reach for a nude lipstick almost every day - I'm not a huge fan of lip gloss for day to day and a dark lip colour is much more high maintenance and more prone to bleeding, etc. Quite frankly I don't have time for more than a quick swipe of one of these lippies on a weekday morning!

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in 070 - "Airy Fairy".

Since I was a teenager in the days of Heather Shimmer lipstick, Rimmel has been a staple lipstick brand in my make up bag. Thankfully I have moved on from Heather Shimmer and the above is a much softer, pinky nude. It's a creamy formula, with just a hint of a shimmer, and is the perfect "your lips but better" shade for me. Sadly, this colour isn't available to buy in store in Ireland but I picked up a pack of 3 on Amazon a while ago. (Tip: if you think your lippie is a scarce enough shade or may be discontinued - stock up when you do find it!).

Mac Cremesheen in Creme Cup.

This one is a recent enough purchase for me but now I can't imagine life without it haha.  It's slightly more pink than the Airy Fairy, but still not "Barbie" or baby pink. It's lovely and moisturising too but still with pretty good staying power. In comparison to other drug store brands, yes Mac are certainly a little more expensive but definitely worth having a couple of your favourite shades from the range. Their shade range is unbelievable so you are sure to find your perfect shade there. And sure you're worth it eh :)

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick  - Matte - in 001 - Nude Attitude.

This is actually the first Revlon lipstick I've owned and it was in a Glossybox I received a few months ago.  It's a lovely "beigey" nude and despite being matte, it doesn't feel too chalky on the lips. I tend to not reach for this as much as the others, purely out of habit though. I will definitely be checking out the Revlon counter next time I'm shopping and picking up a few more of their lipsticks!

Nyx Lipstick in Summer Love.

I am a big fan of Nyx as a whole and I love the shade and creamy texture of this lippie. It's not as pigmented as some of the others so you need to apply a bit more to get the color strong enough but it is a great cool toned nude.

Mac Matte Lipstick in Honey Love.

Ah so I've saved the best til last! This one is definitely my favourite of all the nude lipsticks I have and for me is the perfect nude shade as it is not as pale as the Revlon one and not as dark as the MeMeMe shade. It's between the two of them and less "yellow" and more pink-toned.  Yes, it is matte, so when your lips are chapped or dry it's not a good look. Hence you have to be extra careful when wearing this or any matte shade that your lips are well moisturised first as the lipstick isn't going to provide you with any more moisture. That being said, I'm still in love with it :)

Below are swatches of each color side by side - left to right: Rimmel's Airy Fairy, Mac Creme Cup, Revlon Nude Attitude, Nyx Summer Love and Mac Honey Love.

That's all my favourites - if you've used any of these before let me know what you thought of them. And if want to let us know your fave lippie feel free to comment below :)

Bye for now,
C xx
