The Daydreamer Edition: May '18 Glossybox UK Review

The Daydreamer Edition: May '18 Glossybox UK Review

The perfect treat for the post-holiday blues arrived from Glossybox when we returned from our family holiday in the sun recently, and now that I've had a bit of time to investigate the treats inside after returning to "normality", I thought I would share with you what was inside the May edition Glossybox.

The Daydreamer box claims to bring us to a world of blissful pampering, with a variety of products to treat yourself from head to toe and leave you feeling like you're floating on a fluffy cloud. Now that sounds like something I can get on board with! So onto the contents and my thoughts on each of the beauty treats inside this pretty pastel cloud-covered box..

Gelspa Just for Feet Luxury Jelly Foot Soak.

The Daydreamer Edition: May '18 Glossybox UK Review

This is a relaxing foot treatment with the aromas of lavender and lemongrass to soothe and gently moisturise the feet. How it works is that you add the powder to water to turn it into a gel, then soak your tootsies, then add the second sachet to turn the gel back to liquid. Sadly, this is not suitable for use by pregnant women so instead of letting it go to waste I donated it to a friend who will be more likely to be able to enjoy it. It does however sound like a lovely product that I would definitely ordinarily try. This is a full size product.

Maria Nila True Soft Shampoo and Conditioner.

The Daydreamer Edition: May '18 Glossybox UK Review

Maria Nila is a Swedish hair care brand that has featured in a Glossybox before with a hair mask that I really enjoyed using so I have high hopes for these. The shampoo claims to leave hair super shiny and frizz free and it smells really lovely too. The conditioner is designed to reduce frizz and the loss of colour that results from washing and heat styling. Both are 100ml travel sized bottles and both are vegan and cruelty free as well as sulphate and paraben free. I've put these aside to add to my bag for the maternity hospital in the next couple of months and I'm sure I'll be really in need of some pampering then!

Trifle Cosmetics Praline Eyeshadow Palette.

The Daydreamer Edition: May '18 Glossybox UK Review

Inside this cute cupcake covered pastel packaging is a palette of 6 eyeshadows in shades ranging from bronze to purple. Initial swatches tell me that they are smooth in texture and quite pigmented which I wasn't really expecting if I'm honest. All of the shades have a shimmer to them - some more than others, and they are all really pretty. I'm already thinking up an eye look in my head using the purple and the bronze shade together..and if I can pull it off I'll post a pic on my social media during the week :) This is a full-sized product/palette.

Kueshi Double Effect Makeup Remover.

The Daydreamer Edition: May '18 Glossybox UK Review

This makeup remover contains a clear solution which is rich in soft oils and a blue solution which you shake thoroughly before using to remove makeup. I've used this type of remover often to take off eye makeup - especially water proof mascara and the budge-proof Inglot gel liner - so this will definitely be put to the test soon. This is a full-sized product containing 100ml of remover.

An Extra Treat from We Are Tea.

The Daydreamer Edition: May '18 Glossybox UK Review

There was an extra little treat in all of the boxes this month and subscribers were given either a Good Night/Sleep tea containing Lavender and Chamomile or an Earl Grey tea. I received the Earl Grey version and as Earl Grey is one of the teas I normally drink, this will be put to good use, perhaps this evening when Little Man has gone to bed and Mammy has a few minutes peace..

The Daydreamer Edition: May '18 Glossybox UK Review

And that wraps up everything from the May Glossybox! June is almost upon us so I'll be back soon (sooner this time I promise!) with the June edition. If you received a Glossybox this month, was yours the same or did your selection differ? And feel free to leave your thoughts below!

Bye for now.
