Testing Primark PS..Pro Makeup Brushes

When I was a teenager, Penneys makeup was little to write home about to be honest. It seems to me and to a lot of others that I've been chatting to that they have really stepped up their beauty game in the last year or so. I've come across a few gems there recently and if you have been reading this blog for…

Current Beauty Wishlist

It's impossible to keep up with all the new beauty launches - both in terms of your purse and in terms of keeping up with the news! So today's post is some of the items I'm currently lusting after. Some of them are quite affordable and some are definitely more indulgent and spendy, but a girl can dream,…

Top 5 iPhone Apps for Bloggers

I have way too many apps, photos, videos and notes stored on my iPhone. I need to do a massive clearout before I hit my storage limit (again!) and while going through the apps I have on my phone the other night, something occurred to me. I don't use half of the apps. I use the same 5-10 apps over and over agai…

You Were There....

I don't have a new beauty post for you today. Instead I'm sharing a poem that I found that I dedicate to my dear Dad - and to anyone reading this who has lost a parent. I haven't spoken about the last few months too much on my blog or social media but it's been a tough road for my family and sad…

Glossybox UK July 2017 Review

Although you might be forgiven for thinking otherwise if you live in my part of the world, summer is here and Glossybox are following a summery theme for their July box with this very pretty coral and gold foil "Hello Summer" box. It's the first of their summer collectors' edition boxes, with the …

Ways to Rebuild After A Stressful Time

The trials of parenthood, family problems, bereavement, money issues or work issues - a lot of us will face most if not all of these stresses and life crises at one time or another. It's not always as easy as it sounds to take a moment and look after yourself. I myself have had a fairly traumatic time the past …

Neutral Eyeshadow Palettes: High End Vs. Affordable

My makeup collection contains a range of products from all different price points. I love my Estee Lauder foundation but I equally love my Catrice concealer which cost only a few Euros. I guess  what I mean is, higher prices don't always mean better quality. And there is always pressure out there to follow tren…

Primark PS..Deep Cleansing Bubble Mask Review

If you're into your face masks like I am, you've probably seen the pictures going around online of the woman wearing one of these mad masks, who after a few minutes ends up looking like a big grey cloud. I was intrigued by the idea of bubble masks but it's taken me a while to get around to trying one. T…

Primark PS.. Havana Complete Face Palette Review

In the past, Penneys/Primark was very much hit and miss in terms of their makeup launches. My local store only really had a limited selection of foundations in only two or three colours that would remind you of the pan stick of old, a few lip glosses and some other random bits and pieces, most of which you couldn&…

Blue Sky Tag - 11 Questions

Recently I was nominated by the very lovely Joanne from  Lipstick N Leopardprint  to complete this Blue Sky Tag in which you answer several questions about yourself and in turn pass on the questions to some of your other blogging friends. Most of the time you don't really find out much about the faces behind …

Why I Started Blogging

I’ve something a little different to chat to you about today – I’ve decided that I’m going to share with you the reasons why I started this blog. There are undeniably tons of beauty bloggers out there and more and more are setting up new blogs every day. In fact the “market” – if you want to call it that – is quite…

Flawless Natural Basics Palette Review

When it comes to eyeshadows, as you are probably aware by now, I'm a creature of habit and I tend to stick with neutral and brown toned shades. So when I saw this Flawless palette in my local pharmacy a few months ago, I was keen to give it a try. I already own a set of makeup brushes from Flawless - which yo…

Makeup Revolution/TAM Beauty | Haul & First Impressions

So I posted a couple of pics on Instagram recently of an order I'd placed with Tam Beauty, and I asked followers if they would like to read a blog post on what I picked up. The answer was yes so here I am to bring you through each of the items in more detail and to give you my first impressions of them! Tam Bea…

Top 5 Budget Highlighters

As you will see from my description of myself here on the blog, I'm a firm believer that there is no such thing as too many highlighters. I do have quite a collection seeing as I only have one face to put them on, but to be fair, some highlighters are more suited to daytime wear and some are more suitable if you…

Makeup Revolution Pro Hygiene Solid Brush Cleaner Review

Solid makeup brush cleaners are becoming an increasingly popular way of cleaning makeup brushes and I’ve been looking to try one out for a while now as I’ve heard that they are a great way of giving your brushes a good deep clean without too much fuss. So when I saw this was back in stock on  tambeauty.com , I dec…

What's In My Makeup Bag

Isn’t it funny that no matter how much makeup we have, there are always a few favourites that we reach for without thinking and end up using nearly every day? I only have  one face and I readily admit that I have too much makeup – if there is such a thing! I try to rotate what I use so that nothing goes to waste –…

Time To Come Clean: Primark PS Micellar Cleansing Water

Micellar waters are still enjoying a place on many a bathroom shelf these days, and I myself reach for one on a daily basis as part of my cleansing routine. This means that I go through a lot of it and I'm always on the lookout for a bottle that still does what it should but is affordable too. On one of my many …

How Not To Annoy A Toddler

Being a toddler is not easy. Being a parent to a toddler is not easy either. Their whole world revolves around themselves and they are still learning about the world and their place in it. This is understandable of course and we all went through it ourselves and put our own parents through the mill too. However …

Primark Rose Gold Makeup Brushes Review

Quality makeup brushes can often be rather expensive, depending on how they are made and what the bristles are made of. They can however make a huge difference to the finish of your makeup application and your ability to blend products. I probably do have way more brushes than I actually need – and I have a feeling…

Botanics All Bright Radiance Concentrate Serum Review

For Beauty Thursday I'm sharing my thoughts on a serum I've been trying out for a few weeks. If you’ve been following the blog for a while, you might have guessed that I’m partial to a bargain. I have a few “luxury” skincare items in my bathroom or on my wish list, but a lot of my skincare tends to be fro…

Blank Canvas Cosmetics Master Series Palette One Review

If you’ve been following Mamavoom for a while you will be all too familiar with my obsession with eyeshadow. It’s also no secret that I’m a big fan of  Blank   Canvas  Cosmetics. Their makeup brushes are amazing quality yet affordable and it is great to be able to support Irish where we can! In addition to …
